Elena Schlossberg is the Executive Director of the Coalition to Protect Prince William County, the Northern Virginia civic coalition opposing hyperscale data-centre development in the Loudoun / Prince William corridor. She began mobilising Prince William County neighbors in 2014 against a proposed high-voltage transmission line to power an Amazon Web Services data centre, and after four years of community organising forced the power company to bury the line along Interstate 66. She subsequently directed the Coalition's multi-year fight against the Prince William Digital Gateway, which produced a Virginia Court of Appeals ruling in March 2026 upholding the invalidation of the project's rezoning and a unanimous April 2026 Board of County Supervisors vote to stop defending the project.
