Paulo Roberto da Silva Lima

Paulo Roberto da Silva Lima, widely known as Paulo Galo (or Galo de Luta), is the founder of Entregadores Antifascistas, the Brazilian app-delivery worker collective that organized the 2020 Breque dos Apps national strikes against algorithmic management by food delivery platforms.

His organizing grew directly from algorithmic deactivation: on 22 March 2020, his bicycle tyre went flat mid-delivery on Uber Eats; he reported the incident and was assured there were no problems, and the following morning found himself locked out of the platform with no explanation or appeal process. He immediately launched a petition demanding that platforms provide workers with COVID-19 protective equipment during the pandemic, which garnered over 300,000 signatures, and within weeks founded Entregadores Antifascistas, which grew to 40 core organizers active across 11 Brazilian states by the time of the July 2020 strikes.

As the movement's public face, Galo had accumulated over 115,000 Twitter followers by April 2022, establishing him as one of Brazil's most visible platform-worker organizers. Fundo Brasil's 2022 project page names him as the movement's founder and central figure in building the Casa dos Entregadores — the mutual-aid infrastructure providing meals, phone charging, rest areas, and educational space to delivery workers in São Paulo.
